At Kindred Bible Church our purpose is to bring glory to God in our church, our families and in our personal lives.

This is accomplished …

…by sound biblical teaching
The Bible is the foundation for all that we teach and practice. The church pulpit is not a stage for entertainment. Teaching and preaching is the declaration of the truths found in God’s unchanging word. Often the Bible inspires and encourages, but just as often, the truth found in it convicts, corrects, challenges, and calls us to Christ likeness. (Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16) At KBC the preaching and teaching is systematic and expository and mid-week Bible studies often focus on theology and apologetics.
…by equipping each believer to share the Gospel of Jesus with a lost world
One of the joys of being a Christian is being used by God to share the gospel and witness the salvation of God in the life of another. When God commanded us to be His witnesses He, by His grace, invited us to participate with Him in the greatest miracle of all and to do so is an honor and not a burden. (Romans 10:13-15; 2 Corinthians 5:20)
…by equipping believers to reasonably and intelligibly defend the biblical Christian worldview
A worldview is the set of principles by which one makes decisions, interprets reality, and internalizes their experiences. A simple definition of a worldview is the glasses through which one views the world. A Christian biblical worldview is the worldview that draws its traditionally conservative principles from the Bible. Defending this worldview is often referred to as Christian apologetics. Today, in the post-modern world, the biblical Christian worldview is under attack. As believers we must “be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks us for a reason for the hope that we have and do it with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15)
…by encouraging and equipping individuals to pursue and fulfill their God ordained purpose and calling
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Each believer has purpose to fulfill; some good work that God has prepared them for. At Kindred Bible Church we are committed to helping each believer discover and pursue that purpose. We recognize that one of the primary tasks of the church is “to equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12)

…by the strengthening of the Christian family
We are a family integrated church. We recognize that God created the family, to example His nature and how He and His Church relate. The biblical family is a scripturally ordered household of parents, children, and sometimes others (such as singles, widows, divorcees, or grandparents), forming the God-ordained building blocks of the Church and is the foundation of discipleship (Titus 2:1-8; 2 Timothy 1:5). As a family integrated church we emphasize inter-generational discipleship. It is what families, parents, adolescents, pre-teens, preschooler, and toddlers, do collectively that shape the worldview of the next generation. Maturation takes place as one spends time with mature individuals. Therefore, we encourage families to worship, pray, and play together.

Young men and maidens together, old men and children! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.” (Psalm 148:12-13)

…by providing an atmosphere of God centered, Spirit lead, authentic and passionate corporate worship
The purpose for the assembling of believers, the body of Christ, on Sunday is to ascribe worship and honor and praise to God. Worship is theocentric. That is, its focus and source is God. Such worship is to be “in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24). Our preferences, our weariness, and our tendency to get distracted often hinder theocentric worship therefore, we need the aid, guidance and ministry of the Holy Spirit (John 15:26).
Jesus declared that the greatest commandment is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37-38). Jesus’ words invoke the ideas of sincerity, enthusiasm, and intellect. Our worship of The Creator and our Savior should not be stoic and emotionless. Yet, at the same time, it is also important that our worship be authentic and not manufactured to create an emotional response.
